Willie Rogers Ruff, 75 of Thaxton, passed away Friday, May 28, 2021 at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital. He was born on Friday, July 20, 1945 in Bedford County, a son of the late Wallace Munford Ruff and Ruby Virginia Overstreet Ruff. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Stella Mae Carter Ruff, Brothers, Wallace Jackson Ruff, Raymond Clarence Ruff, sister, Ida Mae Ruff, niecee, Angela Marie Shepperd, Michelle Ruff and granddaughter, Lacy Mae Miller
He was retired from the Boxley Corporation as a Welder and was a member of Cool Springs Holiness Church.
He is survived by his daughters, Virginia Ann Miller & husband, William Lee, Sherry Mae Ruff; brother, Amos Burks Ruff, Sr.; sisters, Deborah Ruff Thompson, Linda Ruff Easter as well as numerous nieces & nephews.
The family will receive friends from 12 noon until 1:30 PM on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford and a graveside service will follow at 2:00 pm at Holy Land Cemetery with Pastor Steve Miller officiating.
Arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
