Obituary of Leonard William Craig, Sr.

Leonard William Craig, Sr., 80 of  Bedford, passed away Friday, February 1, 2019 at his residence.  He was born on Friday, August 5, 1938  in Bedford County, a son of the late William Rufus Hopkins Craig and Beulah Jennette Wilmer Craig.  

He was retired from Rubatex Corporation.

He is survived by his wife, Gwendolyn Parker Craig; his sons, Leonard William Craig, Jr. & wife, Barbara of Bedford, Alan Russell Craig & wife, Cheryl of AL; his grandchildren, Charis E. Bostain, Caleb Russell Craig, Jessica Ann Craig, Justin Daniel Craig; a great-grandson, Judson Robert Bostain; his sisters, Nancy Wilson, Linda Lacy & husband, Mike, Kathy Feagans & husband, Glen; his brothers, Wayne  Craig & wife, Margie, Larry Craig & wife, Carolyn, David Craig & wife, Phillis.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Centra Bedford Hospice. 

Funeral services will be held at 1 PM on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at Longwood Avenue Baptist Church with Pastor Ross Gilfillen and Pastor Rusty Craig officiating.  Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Monday evening from 5 until 8 PM at  Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
