Obituary of Evelyn June Pribble Stevens

Evelyn June Pribble Stevens, 85 of  Evington, passed away Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at the Davis Home LLC in Altavista, VA. She was born on Thursday, November 10, 1932, a daughter of the late Addie Pribble and Maude Anne Tolley Pribble.  She was also preceded in death by husband, Jackie Leroy Stevens. 

She retired as a greeter at Walmart on Wards Road in Lynchburg, VA in 2017 after twenty-five years. 

She is survived by her son, R. Keith Stevens & wife, Bonnie Svrcek of Lynchburg; daughter, Carol D. Stevens of Nicholasville, KY; her granddaughters, Katharine McCann & husband, Edward of Altavista, Meredith Stevens of Astoria, NY; her great-grandson, Jack Edward McCann as well as her brother, Claude Pribble of Norfolk, VA.  

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at Updike Funeral Chapel, Huddleston with Rev. Wayne Murphy & Rev. Ken Lester officiating.  Interment will follow in Huddleston Church of God of Prophecy Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Friday evening from 5 until 7 PM at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Huddleston.
